
| Home of Mayor Edgar A. Wright ca. 1930 New Port Richey. In 1910 Edgar Allen Wright moved to Tampa to take charge of the Florida Grower,a citrus growers newspaper, which he edited for 14 years. In 1924 Mr. Wright moved to New Port Richey to develop his large property interests in the town and continued to write for his publications covering the local citrus industry. While living in New Port Richey Mr. Wright lived in the spacious home pictured above, which was located on the North Boulevard along the Cotee River.. In 1926 and 1927 Edgar Allen Wright was elected Mayor of New Port Richey without opposition. |
