

| Famous Crooked Palm Tree Along Cotee River, Port Richey. [Top photo] appeared in a 1920's
Port Richey Land Company Brochure with the caption, "The
Pithlachascotee {Cotee} River flowing down to the sea and the Dixie
Highway, which parallels the river for almost a mile at this point.
The road is much frequented by automobile tourists. The
palm trees and tropical foliage shown in this picture are typical of
this beautiful river throughout almost its entire length. (Photo
