Grand Blvd. Bridge.  This photo taken in 1939 shows the bridge when it was closed due to an overloaded gas truck that fell through the bridge while trying to pass over.  This photo is only one of several that were taken during the incident.  The bridge was quickly repaired using prison work crews.  (Photo from private collection)
